LSLB | SSL Certificates | Generate PEM

This section is for creating PEM certificates. PEM certificates use a passphrase and include the private key in the same certificate. This is the format required by the Web Proxy Engine used for load balancing HTTPS traffic.

This form has the following fields:

  • Name: A unique name to help you identify the file in the certificate repository.
  • Private Key: This section contains information about the certificate key, without the passphrase.
  • Server/Fullchain certificate: This section contains information about the certificate itself, including the common name(s) to be certified.
  • Intermediate certificates: This section contains the intermediate certificates and the certificate authority that issued the server name(s).

Once you have entered all of the required information and clicked the Apply button, the system will start a validation process using the OpenSSL library.

This validation process will check the accuracy of the information you provided and determine if the full chain certificate in PEM format can be successfully generated. If the OpenSSL library detects any errors, an informative error message will be displayed, allowing you to fix the problem.
