Network | NIC | Update

To change the configurations of a Network Interface Card:

  1. Go to the Network > NIC section.
  2. Hover over the interface you want to update and click the Edit button with a pencil icon.
  3. Fill in the form with the following details:
    • Name: The system name of the physical interface. This cannot be edited.
    • IP Address: The unique address that identifies the NIC on the network. It supports both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses. This field is required, and the subnet mask field must also be set if DHCP is disabled.
    • Netmask/CIDR: The subnet mask of the NIC, specified in network mask format or CIDR address notation. It supports 0 to 32 bits for IPv4 and 0 to 128 bits for IPv6. This field is required, and the IP address field must also be set if DHCP is disabled.
    • Gateway: The address of the router that the NIC uses to send traffic to other networks.
    • MAC: A unique identifier assigned to the NIC by its manufacturer, which cannot be changed.
    • Alias: Identifies the interface with a custom name that is easy to remember and use when configuring a farm or other service.
    • DHCP: Allow the NIC to obtain an IP address automatically from a DHCP server.
  4. Click the Apply button

IPv4 and IPv6 stacks are supported, taking into account that the Netmask and Gateway are configured in the same stack as the IP.
