This section explains how notifications work in the load balancer. Notifications can be used to send email alerts when an unexpected event is detected.
The notifications page has two tabs: Alerts and Email.
Alert Services
Alert Services allows you to enable or disable notifications whenever a particular service malfunctions or if there is a package update. The are the Alerts services on SKUDONET ADC:
- Backends: Receive email notifications when a backend experiences an outage or restart.
- Cluster: Get notified via email when a cluster-related event occurs.
- License: Receive an alert when the node’s license is nearing expiration.
- Interface: Get notified when any interface experiences a state change.
- Package: Stay informed about pending package updates.
- Certificate: Receive alerts for expiring certificates that are currently in use.
Each alert service has a description, status, and actions.
Description: A brief explanation of what the alert is for.
Status: Whether the alert service is enabled or disabled.
Actions: The actions you can take with the alert service:
- Enable: Activates the alert service and starts sending email notifications.
- Disable: Deactivates the alert service and stops it from sending email notifications.
- Configure: Modifies the alert service configuration.
Email Notifications
In this tab, you can set up the email service that will be used to send you notifications.
